Star Candle

Here we go.
Tools Needed:
PSP 7- Download free trial

The zip file with the preset, wick and selection for PSP
Here
Download
degstarcandle into preset folder. Open the wick in PSP and minimize.
Save the selection in
selection folder.
Step 1:
Open a new image 350x350 transparent, 16 million colors. Rename first
layer call it base. Go to
Selections -> Load from Disk degstarcandle.sel. Flood fill with color of
your choice. I used #400000. Select -Select None On same layer. Selections
-> Load from Disk degstarcandletop.sel. Flood fill Black. Select -Select
None
 

Step 2:
Add a new layer go to Layers> New Raster Layer named candle top. Go to
Selections -> Load from Disk degstarcandlemiddle.sel. Flood fill with color
of your choice. I used #400000
Selections ->Float. Do not Deselect. Effects-> Geometric Effects ->
Wave. with the following setting. Selections-> Selections None

Step 3:
Add a new layer go to Layers> New Raster Layer named design. Go to
Selections -> Load from Disk degstarcandledesign.sel. Flood fill with color
of your choice. Do not Deselect. Effects-> Texture Effects->
Sculpture. Use degstarcandle. Select -> Select None.
 
Step
4:
Add a new layer go to Layers> New Raster Layer named flame. Open the PSP
file degflame. Edit-> Copy. Make the candle your active image. Make sure you
new layer is the active one. Edit-> Past as new selection. Move the image
until it is where you want it. Use the selection select a small part of the
bottom the image. Refer to image. Go to Effects-> Blur-> Gaussian Blur
settings 2.98 Select -> Select None. There your candle is done. Save
the image.

This is what you have so far. Duplicate the image and
let's go on to make the Star Candle Holder.
